22 ( +1 | -1 ) The NoteboomI have the book on this opening written by Mark Van Der Werf and Teun Van Der Vorm. However, I am looking for more resources on the Internet. Does anyone out there know any good web sites devoted to this?

46 ( +1 | -1 ) rabbitYou got "the" book on the Noteboom. You might try some of the large databases on the web like chesslab and chessbase. I recall there was a nice Noteboom game in "Logical Chess move by move" Chernev. The British master Abrahams was playing the opening regularly while Noteboom was still in knickers---So why did they name it the Noteboom and who is they? Notebooms early death perhaps was the reason. Hey that would make an interesting forum---How do openings get their names?
